NHS Digital have postponed the start of the new patient data extraction system until 1st September 2021 to allow patients and practices to understand how the new system works and the types of data that are extracted from patients medical records.

Your patient data could support a wide variety of research and analysis to help run and improve health and care services.
We can also reassure you that if you choose to allow your data to be used your’ name or address will not be extracted. Nor will any other data that could directly identify you such as NHS Number, date of birth, full postcode.
