Flu Season 2021

Posted on:

This year the practice is offering flu vaccines to our 2-3 year old patients, those medically at risk and all patients over the age of 50 years old.

Due to the supply for the flu vaccine we have prioritised our patients over 65 years old and those medically at risk as these patients are the most vulnerable to flu. We are actively inviting these patients to attend the practice. If you have not heard from the practice team and fall into this category then please call the reception team on 0207 349 7330 to book an appointment.

If you are 50-64 years of age with no medical problems and would like a flu vaccine as soon as possible we recommend that you visit one of the Community Pharmacies that we know have a good supply of the vaccine. Please use these links below to arrange an appointment.

Book your flu vaccination online at any local pharmacy other than Boots via https://myvaccinations.co.uk

Book your vaccination at Boots online at https://www.boots.com/online/pharmacy-services/winter-flu-jab-services

All vulnerable housebound patients will be receiving the vaccination in their homes via the District Nursing team or our Practice team.

Children aged between 2-3 years (on 31st August 2021) will be invited to attend the practice for a Nasal Flu Vaccination. Parents should have received a letter detailing the process of booking the appointment and attending the appointment. For children aged 4 and over their school will be offering the flu vaccination. If your school does not offer the flu vaccination or your child missed their vaccination then please contact the school vaccination delivery team on 0203 317 5076 to book an appointment.
