Please remember that the practice is here to support you.  If you are an unpaid Carer please let our practice know.

We offer all our Carers an annual flu vaccine, a health check to make sure your physical needs are looked after at a time that suits you and support.

You may find this website useful as it provides information and support for Carers in the Kensington & Chelsea area:

Working with leading national charity Carers UK, we are giving unpaid carers free access to new digital resources. The Digital Resource for Carers is an online platform that hosts a wealth of resources for carers to help them build resilience in their caring role.

We hope you find this resource useful.

Virtual Meeting for Carers

Are you an unpaid carer looking after someone who has had a stroke? Different Strokes know how challenging this role can be, and are here to support you.

Starting July 2024, Different Strokes are excited to trial monthly virtual meetings exclusively for unpaid carers of stroke survivors.

These sessions will give carers a dedicated space to discuss their unique challenges, share coping strategies, and find support.

Full of Life’s Carer’s Advocacy Service
Full of Life was founded in 1994 by parents who were dissatisfied with the lack of information and support that they needed to raise a child with additional needs. Parents came together to establish a single organisation that empowered and supported parents on their lifelong journey of caring. Full of Life continues to grow and now supports over 750 families across Kensington and Chelsea.

Their Carer’s Advocacy Service offers independent practical support, advice, and information for parent carers who live in Kensington and Chelsea and have a child (14+) or an adult with a disability.

The service covers the following areas:
    • Issues relating to Social Services, such as Carer’s Assessments, Needs Assessments, and access to services
    • Support with the transition from Children’s to Adult Services
    • Education advice (16+)
    • General information and advice on benefits and housing
    • Form filling (benefits, grants, and applications)
    • Support with attending meetings and reviews
    • Advice and support regarding complaints
    • Liaising with services and professionals to access the best support for families
    • A quarterly newsletter for parent carers

Additionally, the Carer’s Advocacy Service works to ensure that parent carers and their families are at the heart of service development.
